During a three-year study, NACM research by Liz Copas recorded less
disease carry-over year on year and 20% less mildew in the final
year on Maxicrop Triple treated apples trees.
In addition, adding further weight of evidence to the improved health
of the treated trees, the two treated orchards had 34 and 56% fewer
rots at picking compared to
untreated blocks.
As a result of the reduced levels of disease treated trees carried
slightly higher levels of fruit, which was generally heavier, leading
to higher crop weights per branch. In the Michelin, for example,
cropping was 18% higher in the final year.
According to Liz Copas over the three years of the study cumulative
yields rose by an average of 13%.
